Have you ever tried wearing thrummed mittens in the winter? They are super-thick, super-warm mittens that can keep your hands warm in the coldest and bleakest of winters. Knit with worsted weight or chunky yarn, and with pieces of warm woolen fleece knitted in, these mittens will knit up fast.

Skills needed - students will need to be able to knit and purl, and preferably know how to knit in the round on double pointed needles. We will be casting on, ribbing, knitting in the round, decreasing and knitting in prepared pieces of fleece.

Students will need to bring 6mm double pointed needles and a darning needle. Yarn required will be 100g or Worsted weight or Chunky yarn, and 30-50g of unspun fleece. Numana Yarns will have some kits available (you will be emailed details closer to the class start date), or you can choose to bring your own.
