Crochet Intensive: Slip Knot to Treble Stitch

Our beginner class teaches the basics of crochet over four sessions. This includes the foundation chain, single crochet, half double and double crochet, treble, as well as crocheting into chain spaces -- many of the ways crochet is stitched in a flat (worked back and forth) fabric. We’ll also look at ways to hold a hook and yarn, stitch tension, pattern terminology, how to read a pattern, join new yarn and weave in ends.
This is a moderately paced class, with a focus on skills. If time permits, students who have a project they would like to work on, can bring a copy of the pattern to the last class, along with yarn and hook for the project and we can get you started.
Students will be taught to crochet right- or left-handed, which ever is more comfortable.
