Beginner Crochet - Level 2
This three-part class will build on your crochet skills. In the first class, you’ll learn a new stitch (half double crochet), review different places (under both loops, front/back loop only) where stitches can be worked. The second and third class will introduce two new stitches (double and treble crochet), chain spaces and its uses, and how to join a new colour to your work. We’ll also introduce how to measure a fabric’s gauge and the first steps in finishing – how to block your work.
The class includes practice yarn, and a 5.5 mm Furls crochet hook.
Skill Level Needed - Beginner Crochet - Level 1: familiar with ch, sc, sc-flo and sc-blo.
Materials Included: enough worsted weight yarn to crochet a square and a Furls hook.
Please bring: removable stitch markers, darning needle and scissors.
Homework: bring a notebook and pen if you want to take additional notes.
