Colour Conversations

Celebrate Knit In Public Day with us by joining a free class! Registration is required as space is limited.

There are several ways to curate a palette for a project. This session will cover a range of techniques that will help you choose colours for your next project, whether it’s striped, marled, brioche or stranded colourwork. We’ll look at how colours speak to one another, chat about tints and shades, when a black and white photograph works, and when it doesn’t work, how to combine colours from different yarn bases, and ways to create new shades when multi-stranding. From there, we’ll cover ways to make colour palettes in preparation for a project.

Skill Level: those who are at the start of their colour journey in their knitting/crochet projects, those that would like to build on their understanding of colours, and those who are colour-curious!

Homework: notebook and pen, if you want to take notes.

Please note, the classroom is up 14 steps.
