Numana Yarns

Now that you've completed (at minimum) the Beginner levels in Knitting and/or Crochet at Numana Yarns, it's time to start a project.

This session is great for those who are comfortable with their basic stitches (sl st, ch, sc, hdc, dc and tr in crochet; k, p, ssk, k2tog, kfb, knitted CO & BO in knitting) and would like some help with a project. Maybe it's a little help with making a magic ring for granny squares or the start of a stuffie pattern. It could be for help to join knitting in the round for toques, or seaming tips when knitting stuffies. Or maybe you need help with understanding a pattern, or what you're looking for is a little guidance on sweater construction or seaming options when finishing a blanket or garment. 

Bring a copy of the pattern and supplies listed in the pattern. We'll help you get going and navigate any of the tricky parts you encounter.

Students will be assisted with knitting/crocheting right- or left-handed, whichever they're comfortable with.

SKILL REQUIRED

Crochet project - Beginner Crochet - Level 3: Know how to ch, sc, hdc, dc, tr and sl st.

Knit project - Beginner Knitting - Level 3: Know how to k, p, kfb, k2tog, ssk, knitted CO and BO.

Most of the skills used in the project should not be new to you (ex if this is your first sweater, it should also not be your first time knitting in the round, your first time doing short rows, your first time doing most of of the unique stitches, and your first time doing any kind of colour work). This is also not a learn to knit/crochet class.

Pattern, yarn, notions and other supplies as listed in the pattern you've chosen to work on for the class.
