Beginner Crochet Project Class - Level 2: Coiled Basket

These sweet little coiled baskets work great as a yarn bowl. They’re also perfect for holding your making tools, odd bits of yarn or any number of things we need a vessel to keep things in. In this class, you’ll be guided through the process of starting a coiled basket, shaping it, and adding final touches for a beautiful, whimsical finish.
The entire basket is made in crochet – from the coiled cord (these are long lengths of chain sts made from a combination of different colours) to stitching the cords into a coiled shape using single crochet and chain sts in worsted to Aran weight yarn.
Crochet cords and enough Briggs and Little Heritage yarn to make a small vessel are included in the workshop. There will be a selection of cord colours in Briggs and Little Heritage to choose from.
Skill Level: adventurous beginner crocheter, familiar with sc, ch and how to make a slip knot.
